SNEHALAYA NEEDS YOU!
Ok, this is cheeky, perhaps even a little underhand, but, dear reader, desperate times…
The thing is, Shehalaya is in desperate needs of funds, if we are to a) improve and b) get kids out of places like Mercy home. Within Snehalaya there are buildings to be built, equipment needed for healthcare and the kids’ intellectual/ emotional/ physical development. We need more staff, and the staff we have need training, and a better wage.
With all the will in the world, the people who have the time, cannot progress without people like you – people who read about us, and care what happens here. People who have the means to spread the word, and make a little cash for us. That’s why I’m asking you to fundraise.
Anyone who does something for us will get coverage here, and I’ll try to get you a slot on the GCH wesite too.
For those of you with limited time, your ideas and comments are welcome, too.
THANK YOU.
went to physiotherapy at Chapel Allerton hospital today.Reception desk was under a label for leeds wheelchair centre. told them about you guys and 2 phone calls later am telling you if you get head office to write to them they maybe able to donate some chairs that they’ve finished with.
Thanks! Letter-drafting underway, althoug we’re not rich enough to have a ‘head office’, so I guess us voluteers and a rickety laptop on the rooftop will have to do!
Hello Sarah – your loving friend Millie here, back in wet windy England, much to my dismay. I miss Snehalaya, and you guys so much. What a different life we were living out there – I have only just realised how lucky I am since being back in UK. Keep up the hard work, I hope to send you a Xmas package, whether it gets there or not is another matter!
One last fleeting comment………….18months (!haha!)
